Somatic and Relational Counselling in Vancouver, BC & Online
Aliona Sydorenko Counselling
Compassionate therapy for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, shame, and self-worth.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or simply longing for a deeper sense of grounding, therapy can offer a place to slow down, breathe, and begin to reconnect with yourself.
I offer in-person counselling in Vancouver and online counselling across BC for adults seeking thoughtful, trauma-informed, and relational support.
Somatic counselling rooted in presence, compassion, and relationship
My approach is grounded in somatic and relational counselling. This means we pay attention not only to your thoughts and story, but also to your emotional experience, your body’s responses, and the patterns that may have developed through past relationships and painful life experiences.
Therapy can be a space to gently slow down, notice what is happening within you, and explore your experience with curiosity rather than judgment.
In our work together, we may explore:
Body sensations and nervous system responses
Emotional patterns and coping strategies
Relational wounds and attachment dynamics
Shame, self-criticism, and self-worth
Grief, loss, and the impact of trauma
What helps you feel more grounded, present, and connected
This kind of work can support somatic healing, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of trust in yourself.
Counselling Services
Therapy in Vancouver for trauma, anxiety, grief, self-worth, and life transitions
I offer counselling for adults who are looking for a warm, collaborative space to better understand themselves and move toward healing and change.
-
Support for trauma, abuse, childhood trauma, relational wounds, and the lasting effects of overwhelming experiences. Somatic trauma work can help you begin to feel safer in your body, better understand your nervous system, and gently process what has been difficult to hold alone.

For chronic worry, panic, stress, workplace anxiety, health anxiety, and feeling constantly “on.” Together, we can work toward greater steadiness, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills.
-
Support for low mood, hopelessness, numbness, self-doubt, and disconnection. Therapy can offer a place to reconnect with yourself with care and patience.
-
A compassionate space for grief and loss in all its forms, including death, relationship loss, identity shifts, and the pain of leaving places, people, or ways of life behind.
-
Support for women navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns, self-esteem, immigration experiences, major life changes, or the effects of trauma and emotional burden carried over time.
-
Counselling for change, uncertainty, identity shifts, work stress, belonging, meaning, and personal development. This may include support through immigration, relationship changes, career transitions, or periods of questioning and growth.
